DANCE WEEK

Dance is an activity that not only trains our brain and body motor skills but is also an excellent exercise for our entire body. Through our dance week, we help the Presidians to identify and polish their art of dance in an effective way. Moreover, it is an inspiration for the viewers and helps in nourishing their creative soul. We believe that dancing is not only a form of exercise but also a skill that builds up confidence and teaches people how to have fun. We try and mould our student’s postures, gestures and dancing skills through various workshops and competitions that add to their beauty of expression through dance.

SCIENCE WEEK

Science is a process of learning and discovering new horizons. We, at Presidium, provide a chance for our students to explore these aspects through our science workshops and fairs. At Presidium, the teachers set up various interactive activities that are linked with the course plan. This enables the students to get a better understanding of science and makes learning more fun and interactive. We also give a chance to our little scientists to showcase and celebrate their work at our science fair which includes projects on biodiversity, forecasting, environmental conservation, solar energy, and rainwater harvesting.

SOCIAL CAUSE WEEK

Presidians are a permanently powerful group of people in governance who not only govern themselves but the society as well. As a step towards our society, we have covered various aspects which make our students concerned humans. These include - Planting trees as it works towards the objective of preserving the environment, introducing smart boards in classes as it helps in saving paper, educating children of backward areas and promoting literacy and equality. Knowledge about human rights so that students can raise their voice against any crime going around them and saying no to plastic. We should always remember “What goes around comes around”. So, what we give to society will come back to us.

MATH WEEK

“Pure mathematics is, in its way, the poetry of logical ideas.'' - Albert Einstein

Maths is an incredibly important subject which is used in all walks of life and provides a foundation for all disciplines like economics, engineering, architecture etc. We curated the concept of Maths Week to help learners, of all ages, enjoy maths and to highlight the creativity of the subject. Through fun, interesting and challenging activities during the weeklong maths festival, our students get an opportunity to enjoy the subject and enhance problem-solving in a competitive manner. With well-planned quizzes and activities, teachers highlight the importance of mathematics as well as getting students to think of this subject in a new way.

EARTH WEEK

With Keeping in mind the adversty caused global warming issues and the reaction of wildlife to changing climate we ensure to conduct earth week in our school annually. This helps in solving the problem of climate change, ending plastic pollution, protection of endangered species, understanding climate science, climate change impacts, and solutions.

We are moving towards the path of building green schools. Students spend most of the time in school so we ensure them benefits like pure air, safe outdoor spaces, healthy food in canteens and healthy lighting. Moreover, we promote environmental literacy i.e. promoting climate and environmental education.

In our earth week, we conduct various workshops to equip students and educators with knowledge and materials to lead the environmental movement and inspire the next generation of sustainable leaders.

Presidians are leaders- The leaders of tomorrow.
So, we aim to upbring these leaders in the right direction with overall development and knowledge about the environment they live in. Students make various working models which help in explaining our climatic changes, solar models, recycling of waste models and how solar energy can be channelised. This also helps them to understand things in a practical way.

ENGLISH WEEK

It is vital that students cultivate a positive learning attitude and perception towards English to ensure higher levels of proficiency and understanding. English week is an opportunity for the children to enhance their speaking, reading, writing and listening skills. To ensure both practical and theoretical knowledge of students in English we host various competitions and activities such as Spell bee, Storytelling, Tongue twisters, Pictionary, Situational Roleplays, and Group discussions. These activities help students in developing various competencies, improving their pronunciation, articulation of difficult sounds and broaden their vocabulary.

HINDI WEEK

Hindi week or Hindi Diwas is conducted to celebrate the popularity of Hindi as an efficient language of India. It is the fourth most spoken language in the world by a number of native speakers. This week includes various competitions like slogan writing, poetry writing, and story writing. Moreover, students prepare various acts on freedom fighters and current issues going on in our society. It is a very enjoyable event where each and every word is spoken in Hindi language and the participants are very eloquent. At the end of the week, a special programme is conducted to distribute awards for various competitions.

PHOTOGRAPHY WEEK

At Presidium, we give wings to the imagination of students by involving them in various activities which help them in their overall development. This enables them to think out of the box. Among these is our PHOTOGRAPHY WEEK. During photography week, we divide the whole day into various time slots for activities such as Photoshop learning, studio lighting, understanding camera, shutter, lens etc. Students are given the chance to use their skills and capture the emotions and moments which cannot be expressed by words in the form of photos. Then, we display this impulse of work in our exhibition during that week.
