“Sports teach you character, it teaches you to play by the rules, it teaches you to win and to lose; it teaches you about life.” Billy Jean King

Presidium believes that academic learning and sports complement each other. The institution follows a comprehensive educational approach that includes sports as an important pillar of education. Sports are an important contributor in developing the overall personality of students. Other than sportsmanship, it promotes the qualities of leadership, sharing, team spirit and tolerance in students. It teaches the value of time and how it is important to note how a single minute can decide the fate of a young sportsmen in the field of competition. At Presidium, we believe in fostering sportsmanship and athletic excellence in our students and thus, several sports competitions are organized every year.

CRICKET

Champions are made from something they have deep inside them - a desire, a dream, and a vision. Presidium, in association with Eden Cricket Academy, brings young passionate cricket players an opportunity to get trained by experts and turn themselves into champions of tomorrow. Presidians are on their way to become future cricket legends, keeping with the school’s belief and commitment towards fostering excellence.

BADMINTON

With excellent coaching and guidance Presidians are excelling in the field of sports too. Many inter-school Badminton championships are organized wherein participants from different branches come in with full fervour to showcase their talents. During the annual Inter Presidium Badminton tournament, the court gets packed with action and exhibits exciting matches and extraordinary winning shots being played by Presidians.

GYMNASTICS

Gymnastics is a complex sport with many dramatic and subtle nuances. Education is perhaps the most important part of gymnastics wherein an activity can be naturally orchestrated to provide participants with unique and valuable experiences; it serves the participants more than any book. Though not a very common sport in India, at Presidium ace coaches and instructors are made available to train Presidians.

ATHLETICS

Athletics is powerful and transcendent. It can bridge gaps, bring people together and gives participants unbelievable, life-altering opportunities. Here at Presidium, we examine and understand several key benefits of having an established, successful athletics program in the school. Therefore, Presidium management leaves no-stone-unturned to find the best of everything for the students.

YOGA

Yoga is the most important ancient Indian art that aims towards building a healthy mind within a healthy body. For that reason, it is considered to be the harmonizing system which rejuvenates the body, mind as well as the soul. It enhances the physical, spiritual and mental status of the human body. Presidians have joined the awakening of Yoga and make way for this soulful art in their lives, to welcome oodles of health and spiritual power in mind as well as body.

CHESS

Chess is a mind game and children playing chess from an early age exhibit extraordinary memory skills. The competitive yet calm moves and playing styles help in developing the skills of concentration, critical thinking and abstract reasoning. To provide a platform to the young chess maestros of Presidium an Inter Presidium Chess Championship is organized annually. The students also participate and excel in many state and national level championships.

SKATING

“There is something about putting on a pair of skates, getting out there and moving like nobody else can. Freedom is a word that comes to mind” - Randy Gardner

Roller skating is the perfect way to combine fitness with fun. It helps children develop a fitness habit with a sport. At the annual Inter Presidium Skating Championship, it is a wonderful sight to see the young ‘Leaders of Tomorrow’ skate their way to the top with immense devotion and confidence.

SWIMMING

Swimmers do: more sets than a volleyball player, more yards than a football player, more flips than a cheerleader, more kicks than a soccer player and more laps than a runner – still think swimming is not a sport? Well, at least Presidium knows what a sport swimming is. With talented and experienced coaches, every year Presidium students make the school proud by participating and holding a good ground in inter-school competitions.

TAEKWONDO

Taekwondo is all about ‘Courtesy, Integrity, Perseverance, Self Control and Indomitable Spirit’.

The hard work of students and the dedication of teachers together have created Taekwondo champions in Presidium. The in-house taekwondo coaches ensure that the students learn the art of perseverance and prove a mettle with their strong kicks and punches. Presidium is always proud to see the students getting a belt higher and winning at all championships.

BASKETBALL

“The strength of the team is each individual member. The strength of each member is the team.” ― Phil Jackson
Basketball is yet another sport provided at Presidium. The mentors instill sportsmanship and team-spirit among the students and make sure that every dribble leads them towards success. At our basketball tournaments, the Presidians get to showcase their talent and finest skills. All the branches excitedly come together and cheer for on another.

TABLE TENNIS

The annual Inter-Presidium Table Tennis Tournament Championship witnesses exemplary proactive participation of champions from all branches, wherein the sporty Presidians display great enthusiasm and team spirit. The budding players get a lifetime opportunity to share the Table Tennis court with their fellow Presidians and learn more about their strength and weaknesses.

ROCK CLIMBING

Whether you're rock climbing indoors or outdoors, the rock climbing session provides a good workout which builds stamina, strengthen muscles and increase the heart rate. It also teaches the students to find the right balance between the body and brain. Along with physical strength, this sport also requires strong mental strength. At Presidium, we encourage the students to take part in rock climbing by taking them for treks and artificial climbing.
