DIWALI CELEBRATION WITH SUDHA MA’AM ADD TO THE FESTIVE FERVOR
Light is the symbol of divinity and knowledge and to spread and share the light of knowledge and happiness, honourable Chairperson Mrs. Sudha Gupta celebrated the festival of lights with the young Presidians. Students were delighted to welcome their dear Sudha Ma’am and very excitedly wished Ma’am a very happy Diwali. Overwhelmed with all the love and wishes, Ma’am blessed the students success, prosperity and good health and also encouraged the young leaders to celebrate an eco friendly Diwali. The celebration with Ma’am made this Diwali even brighter for the young Presidians.

PRESIDIANS CELEBRATE THE TRIUMPH OF GOOD OVER EVIL
A special assembly was organised at Presidium to celebrate the festival of Dussehra. The school choir performed ‘Ram Stuti’ followed by a wonderfully scripted dramatic performance on the story of ‘Ravana Dahan’ displaying the triumph of good over evil. Through the skit, students also encouraged everyone to learn lessons like loyalty and respect from the story of Ramayana. The special assembly conveyed the message of the power of good and encouraged everyone to follow the steps of Lord Rama.
PRESIDIANS DISPLAY CREATIVE EXPRESSION WITH BEST OUT OF WASTE
With the rising pollution levels all around the world, it is important for the younger generation to understand the value of 3 R’s of environment protection - Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. Keeping this in mind, a Best out of Waste activity was recently organised at Presidium. Students used items like ice cream sticks, buttons, bangles and newspapers to create wonderful artwork. Such activities enhances the creative expression of the students and is also a good teaching tool to make them understand the importance of environmental protection and sustainability.
GIRL CHILD DAY: PRESIDIANS SPREAD THE MESSAGE OF GENDER EQUALITY
A big part of education is to let the young generation, especially young women know they have a right. With this thought the students of Presidium celebrated the International Day for the Girl Child. Following this year’s theme - ‘With Her: A Skilled Girl Force”, the students performed a skit wherein they stressed upon expanding existing learning opportunities and prepare girls to be independent by imparting ‘skills for employability’. Presidians also spoke about the importance of learning self defence for girls and being strong to stand for their rights. Towards the end of the celebration, the students pledged to spread and imbibe the concept of basic justice and gender equality.

PRESIDIANS EXPLORE THE WORLD OF MATHEMATICS WITH INNOVATIVE TOOLS

A very important part of the curriculum of Presidium is experiential learning, which gives the students freedom to get hands on experience and understand diverse concepts in their own way. Keeping this is mind, a ‘Math Activity’ was organised for the students of grade 1 to introduce them to the world of mathematics. The students used innovative tools like jodo blocks, dot cards and ‘mathemat’ to identify and demonstrate different combinations of numbers. The activity enhanced the subitizing skills of the students. The students were excited to play with numbers while embarking on the journey of mathematics.
PRESIDIANS SALUTE THE FATHER OF NATION ON GANDHI JAYANTI

The students of Presidium organised a special assembly to mark the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. The assembly commenced with the school choir’s rendition of ‘Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram’. A skit was also performed with the students disseminating the message ‘Cleanliness is next to Godliness’. The assembly ended with a pledge to bring Mahatma Gandhi’s dreams to life - to build a unified and peaceful India.
