GOLDEN PEACOCK AWARD
On 9th Oct., 2009 Mother's Pride brought pride to India by winning the prestigious Golden Peacock Award in London. This brings international limelight on the innovative work being done by Delhi's premium chain of Pre-schools. Mrs. Sudha Gupta received the award in London in a glittering ceremony. She also presented a paper on the need for out of the box thinking in education. Rated among the top most educational institutions world wide, Mother's Pride was adjudged by a highly accomplished jury.
The award ceremony was held in the presence of a renowned panel of judges including Dr. Ola Ullsteu (Former Prime Minister of Sweden), Mr. Joe Clark (Former Prime Minister of Canada) and various other eminent personalities.
LASTING IMPRESSIONS - PRESIDIUM ANNUAL DAY 2009
Grandeur, talent and thrill was all over the Siri Fort auditorium on 20th Sept. as 1500 students of Presidium secondary School showcased their abilities as part of the mega Annual Day.
The theme of the event was 'Lasting Impressions'. The entire event was organized by the students of Management Academy and the show was hosted by the students of Mass Communication Academy. Each academy showcased their skills and talent leaving the audience awestruck. The Theatre academy crafted a thought provoking drama on 'Be What You Want to Be' while the Sports Academy presented breathtaking acrobats and skating. The students of Social Cause Academy roused patriotism in all the parents and grandparents. The Fun Academy danced to a melody of humorous songs leaving the audience in splits. The thrilling Clubs Show where in the Presidents of each of six clubs took oath was the showstopper. The students and the parents together sung the inspiring school song 'Be what you want to be' with gusto.
The occasion was also special because the renowned parenting expert Mrs. Sudha Gupta, who is also the principal of Presidium, released a beautiful book set containing thoughtful books on Positive Parenting.
The event was dedicated to 'Savera Special School' being constructed at Rohini sec- 5 by Sparsh, an NGO supported by Presidium and Mother's Pride. The mega event was graced by the talented duo Amaan and Ayaan Ali Khan who presented a cheque of 51 lakhs to the NGO. The mentally challenged students, who were trained by Shaimak Dawar group, gave a heart rendering dance performance.
Mrs. Sudha Gupta obviously brimming with pride said, "Through today's theme 'Lasting Impressions', we want to tell the parents and the whole world that our young generation has all the abilities to leave a mark like the famous personalities. We just need to give them opportunities and freedom to grab those opportunities." Empowerment of mentally challenged children being a cause close to her heart, she appealed to the audience saying, "Do you think these special children who danced so well have been somewhere neglected. Let's come together to bring out the abilities in these special children as well."
As the theme suggests, the students left an lasting impression on the minds of some twenty thousand parents and grandparents who witnessed the spectacular show.
VISIT TO PRESIDENTS HOUSE
A group of Presidians went to Presidents House on the auspicious occasion of Rakhshabandhan and tied Rakhi on the hands of hon'ble President of India Shrimati Pratibha Patil and presented beautiful self made cards and had a brief interaction wherein, they shared their dream of being a leader tomorrow.

The seminars on Positive Parenting conducted by Mrs. Sudha Gupta, especially for our parents are a huge success and from past three years they have been profoundly touching the lives of around 15,000 parents.

We had a special project for our children 'My School Rocks', through which our children deciphered, what makes their school so special, understand the vision and philosophy of their school and realize, the role of the school in creating a powerful future for them.
A SEMINAR ON MANAGEMENT AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP BY PRINCIPAL
Every year Management Schools invite our Principal Mam, Mrs. Sudha Gupta, to take the sessions with Management students. This time it was IBS, Noida where Mrs. Gupta took a session with 100 MBA students on Management and Entrepreneurship. It had a magical impact on all the students. This session was beyond Mantra's of Management and Entrepreneurship lessons, it proved as a turning milestone for these students as they were left empowered to lead a happy, powerful and successful life.
MRS. SUDHA GUPTA IS HONOURED BY FICCI
Mrs. Sudha Gupta has been bestowed with the prestigious 'Outstanding Women Entrepreneur of the Year' award by FICCI Ladies Organization (FLO). The official ceremony took place on 28th April'09 in the presence of Chief Minister of Delhi Mrs. Sheila Dixit. FICCI i.e Federation of Indian chambers of commerce and Industry represents corporate India as an organization with tremendous power to protect and further corporate India's commercial interest. FICCI Ladies Organization (FLO) at the national level, gives awards every year to recognize outstanding women in various walks of life.
ANNUAL DAY CELEBRATION OF PRESIDIUM
Presidium, rated among one of the most trusted formal schools of Delhi and NCR, in support of its NGO Sparsh organized a gala event for the cause of mentally challenged children on 9th and 10th of February in Siri Fort Auditorium. This occasion also marked the school’s annual day celebrations. The mega event was graced by renowned actor and producer, Mr. Arbaaz Khan and the first woman Speaker of Lok Sabha, Ms. Meira Kumar.
A cheque of 51 lakhs was presented for the noble cause to Sparsh NGO which has constructed ‘Shri Sumer Chand Bhavan’ in Rohini where a school for mentally challenged children by the name of Savera Special School is based. Mentally challenged children gave an incredible performance, leaving the audience in awe and tears.
Titled as ‘I believe therefore I am’, the mega event was full of inspiration and enthusiasm. About 10,000 parents and grandparents witnessed the spectacular performances of the students. This grand event was organized by the students of Management Academy while the Mass Communication Academy hosted the show. Other academies of the school including Dance, Music, Theatre, Fun and Humour, Sports Academy etc. also contributed to make this show a hit.
The audience was spell bound by the inspirational theme drama based on Presidium’s philosophy ‘Be What You Want to Be’. While the agile students of the Sports Academy celebrated the success of Commonwealth Games, the Dance academy mesmerized the parents with their breathtaking choreography. The performance by special children of Savera Special School and Presidians was a beautiful amalgamation of our stand for Raise the Humanity. Children performed on popular folk songs of Punjab, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Bengal and Maharashtra. They also dazzled the audience by performing western dance form Jazz, Salsa and Waltz.
The Delhi Times acknowledged our stand for Savera Special School by giving a beautiful picture of our chairperson, Mrs. Sudha Gupta and Arbaaz Khan on its front page.
Mrs. Sudha Gupta, renowned parenting expert and chairperson of Presidium expressed her excitement, “Presidium is a not just a school but a revolution, a revolution that is transforming education. The theme ‘I Believe Therefore I Am’ is yet another step towards empowering children to believe in their dreams and make them a reality. And by bringing mentally challenged children and the students of Presidium on the same stage, I want to give a message to the society that these children are equally capable and deserving.”
The biggest event of the year, Annual Day Program was celebrated on 30th December'08 at Siri Fort Auditorium. Each and every Presidian got an opportunity to enthrall a large audience through their mesmerizing performances. The theme for Annual Day was "Raise the Leaders". The entire Presidium family got together to live this theme through a series of performances like "Raise the belief", "Raise the individual", Raise the culture", "Raise the humanity", "Raise the humour", "Raise the style", "Raise the happiness" and "Raise the leaders".
Virat Kohli, the Under 19 world champion and an idol for all our budding Presidians graced the occasion. The entire event wad dedicated to special children from Savera Special School. These special children left everybody touched by their heartfilling stage performance. Our school presented a cheque of Rs.50 Lakhs to Savera Special School.
To summarize all the performances displayed by our children were depicting that they are in true sense rising as leaders.
