Presidians Explore Paris with Host Families on an Exchange Trip
Presidians undertook a journey to the city of lights-Paris, for gaining global exposure and building cultural awareness as a part of an international exchange program organized by the school. The experiences and interactions of our students with their host families gave them a taste of the rich French culture and its diversity, while building lasting relationships with their new friends. The warmth and hospitality of the host families built a sense of respect and appreciation for the beautiful nation and its people in our students. They realized that despite the geographical distances and differences of culture, traditions and customs, we are still connected with one common thread, i.e. humanity.
The trip also provided our students opportunities to tour some of the major attractions of the city and witness the grandeur of the architectural icons of Paris, like the ‘Eiffel Tower’. They admired the incredible artistic treasures at the grand Art Museum in Rouen. Presidians also took a fun-filled trip to Disneyland and also experienced the rich biodiversity of the Amazon forests through a panoramic exhibition at the Seine museum. It was indeed an enriching and rewarding experience for the students, who explored a new land, language and culture.

PRESIDIANS UNITE TO RAISE AWARENESS ON DIGNITY OF LABOUR
“By recognizing the debt of gratitude we owe others, we learn the way of humanity.” Mark T. Mitchell
The senior students from Presidium, came together to raise awareness about the rights and dignity of labourers in India, through posters and slogans. The labourers toil hard to fulfil the necessities of our society but their work remains largely unrecognized. Students participated in the inter club activity and as a mark of respect and gratitude towards the working class they came up with powerful posters and slogans on the subject like ‘Work should mean dignity not poverty’; ‘No thanks to the rich, thank the working class’ etc. Through such activities students learn to take a step towards becoming responsible citizens who recognise the problems and sufferings of the lesser fortunate in the society.
HISTORY UNFOLDS AS PRESIDIANS EXPLORE HERITAGE SITES OF DELHI
“If history were taught in the form of stories, it would never be forgotten."RUDYARD KIPLING. Following the same belief, students from Grade VII and VIII, were taken on an enrichng ‘Itihaas walk’ as a part of their PBL curriculum. The walk was organised by the ITIHAAS group, to observe and explore the epitomes of Mughal architecture in the capital—The Qutub Minar and Nizamuddin Auliya Dargah. At the walk, the students were enlightened about the famous world heritage sites and were left absolutely bedazzled listening to the adventurous stories about the different rulers of that era and their contribution to the impeccable historical monuments of India. The students not just had a wonderful time listening to the stories during the walk but they also participated in fun exercises like measuring the height of the Alai Darwaza and the circumference of the Iron pillar at the Qutub Minar premises. BUDDING SCIENTISTS OF PRESIDIUM EXPLORE THE NUTRIENTS IN FOOD
Experiential learning always lead to a better understanding of concepts. With this thought practical demonstrations were conducted to help the students at Presidium, learn about the presence of nutrients in food. Middle school students conducted various experiments to test the presence of starch, proteins and fats in some given food items. They learnt about how different food tests are done to identify these nutrients. For e.g.-to test the presence of protein in food, copper sulphate and caustic soda should be added to the food solution and if it turns violet, presence of protein is confirmed. The experiments made the entire concept logical, simpler and interesting for the students to understand, learn and remember.
