PRESIDIUM BAGS FIRST POSITION IN ZONAL DANCE COMPETITION
Presidium Dwarka 16B rocked the stage in the Interschool Zonal Folk Dance Competition by bagging the First Position. Energetic Presidians performed bahngra on live dhol. The audience could not resist applauding for them on their amazing pyramid formations. A total of 25 teams participated in the folk dance boys and girls category held on 18 August. Some of the schools that took part in the competition were DAV Public School, CRPF, Venkateshwar International School, and Modern Convent. This competition was hosted in Presidium Dwarka 16B. The winners are now gearing up for the Inter-Zonal Competition which will also be held in this month.

PRESIDIANS ALL SET TO SHOW THEIR TALENT IN PHOTO EXHIBITION ON WORLD PHOTOGRAPHY DAY
On the event of a photo exhibition to be held at Presidium on World Photography Day, talented Presidians were asked to use their imagination and click pictures on the theme Street Photography. Out of all the entries submitted HP Academy of Photography has selected 25 final photos for the exhibition. The exhibition will be held across all the branches of Presidium on the 19th of August, Wednesday.
All participating students will receive certificate of appreciation while the top 5 will receive certificate of merit. The top five students are: Priyal from Dwarka 16B, Krish from Ashok Vihar, Stavya from Indirapuram, Advaita from Dwarka 16B, Aashi from Gurgaon Senior
PRESIDIANS BRING LAURELS AT INTER SCHOOL TABLE TENNIS TOURNAMENT
Champions of Dwarka 16B, Khushneet and Samreen have made Presidium proud at the Third Satyendra Singh Memorial Inter School Table Tennis Tournament. Khushneet of Grade VII won 2nd position in under-12 girls category and Samreen of Grade IV also won 2nd position in the girls under-10 category at the Tournament on 16th August 2015. Our champ Vishabh Gerg of Grade VI was awarded the trophy of “Upcoming Talent” as an appreciation for his extraordinary performance at the tournament.

PRESIDIUM’S CHAMP SCORES AGAIN AT THE WEST DELHI SWIMMING CHAMPIONSHIP
Akshobhyaa Venkatesh of Grade 3 from Dwarka 22 bagged 1 silver in 25m butterfly, 1bronze in 25m freestyle, 1 bronze in 25m in backstroke and 1 bronze in 100m IM in West Delhi Swimming Championship on 16 August. The championship was held at C-2 Kendriya Vidyalaya, Janakpuri and was organised by Delhi Swimming Association. Total 25 schools of West Delhi participated in this event.
PRESIDIANS SHINE AT ZONAL TABLE TENNIS CHAMPIONSHIP ORGANISED BY DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION
Our Table Tennis Champs Mansahej, Vishab, Prabal and Shivanshu from Grade VI of Presidium Dwarka 16B secured third position in the Zonal Table Tennis Championship under the Sub Junior Category. The championship was held on 10th August 2015 in Nirmal Bharti School. Our champs gave an outstanding performance out of 32 teams in the Under-14 Boys Category.
PRESIDIANS GIVE OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE AT CHESS CHAMPIONSHIP
Our intellectual Presidians Mayank Gulati of Grade VI and Tanveer of Grade IV from Presidium Dwarka 16B made us proud at the Chess Championship organized by Pinnacle Chess Academy. They scored fifth and eighth position, respectively, in the competition held on 9th August 2015 in Under-11 Boys Category. Looks like we have the next Viswanathan Anand among us!
PRESIDIUM HONOURS STUDENTS FOR ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE
Presidium salutes the leaders of tomorrow in a special ceremony by felicitating the scholars for the session 2014-15 on 3rd August, 2015. Presidium took an opportunity to honour them for Academic Excellence. The purpose of the event which was held accross all the branches of Presidium, was to acknowledge students for their outstanding performance in this session. The event was headed by our honourable Chairperson Mrs. Sudha Gupta.
In this exclusive event the Chairperson felicitated each student with the following category of awards: Overall Excellence, Subject Excellence and 100% attendance.
BRITISH COUNCIL ACKNOWLEDGES PRESIDIUM MANAGEMENT AND STAFF
In a yet another proud moment for Presidium, the British Council has acknowledged the support of Presidium management and staff at the annual conference in Kolkata. Our faculty member Mrs. Sapna Sukul has been selected as the British Council Ambassador for the third time, consecutively.
At the conference, our management team and staff were appreciated for sharing knowledge and expertise with the teaching community, thereby enriching education in the schools participating in the Connecting Classrooms Programme. The conference was held on 1-2 August, 2015. 50 British Council School Ambassadors from all over India participated in the event.

Presidians add another feather to their caps!
Our little masters of literature Pratham Aggarwal and KanishkGupta created a stir at the Zonals once again. Young Presidian Pratham Agarwal of Grade 7 from Presidium Ashok Vihar won the 1st position in the Slogan Writing (Hindi) in a Zonal competition on 30 July, 2015. The competition wherein more than 20 schools participated was organized by the Department of Education.
Our young Presidian Kanishk Gupta of Grade 9 from Presidium Ashok Vihar bagged the 1st position in the Hindi Essay Writing competition. 23 schools participated in this event which was organized by the Dept of Education on 30 July, 2015.

PRESIDIANS ATTEND SAVE TIGER SEMINAR ON GLOBAL TIGERS DAY
Kids for Tigers and NDTV celebrated the Global Tigers Day at Modern School, Barakhamba Road, on 29th July, 2015, with a seminar. Presidians from Presidium Dwarka 22 and Gurgaon attended the seminar. The event was attended by Mr. Bittu Sehgal, Sanctuary Asia’s editor, and founder of the Kids for Tigers programme; Ms. Brinda Malhotra, Head CSR, Aircel and renowned actress Dia Mirza, who was the guest of honour.
The programme started with a short film on ‘Save Tiger’. Mr. Sehgal addressed the children and explained the purpose of the seminar with a lot of enthusiasm. He encouraged children to ask questions so that he could interact with them in a better way and also so that they could think earnestly. Guest of honour, Dia Mirza, shared her realizations about the need to stand up and bring a radical change in the thoughts and actions of humans towards making the world a more habitable place. The seminar concluded with another powerful short film on Save Nature, Save Earth.
To bring out their creativity about nature, ecology and the role of the tiger in our lives as well as to make the event vibrant and colorful the children painted posters, made masks and also painted their faces. The purpose of the seminar was to sensitize children towards saving our wildlife. The children realized the fact that tigers are a crucial part of the whole ecosystem and it is absolutely essential to save tigers to save nature. It was a wonderful experience and opportunity to connect our students with Mother Nature.
