PRESIDIANS CELEBRATE DIWALI WITH HON’BLE CHIEF MINISTER OF DELHI
To celebrate the glittering festival of Diwali, our young Presidians went to meet the honourable chief minister of Delhi, Mr. Arvind Kejriwal. The ‘leaders of tomorrow’ confidently greeted the esteemed dignitary and received an equal amount of love and warmth in reciprocation. Wishing a blissful and sparkling Diwali to Mr. Kejriwal, our young ones accumulated tons of blessings and loads of wishes in return.
PRESIDIANS OBSERVE MENTAL HEALTH DAY UNDER SUDHA MAM'S TUTELAGE
Considering that untreated and undiagnosed depression is the leading cause of suicide and third leading cause of death among teenagers, adolescent mental health should be on top priority for schools as their present wellbeing directly affects their and our country's future. On the occasion of World Mental Health Day, Presidium recently organized a 'Mind Your Mind' workshop to spread awareness about the importance of positive mental health and equip adolescents with skills to cope effectively with stressors.
The honourable chairperson of Presidium, Mrs. Sudha Gupta also graced the event, along with many renowned external experts. Firmly believing in the importance of investing in the emotional health of 'leaders of tomorrow', the dignitaries addressed more than 200 11th and 12th grade students from Presidium and other schools in Gurgaon in this impeccable experience of healthy interaction, mutual learning and live sessions on dance and expressive arts therapy. It was heartwarming to see the youngsters getting transformed into more aware and empowered students, who can perform at their highest potential, enhance their emotional and mental wellbeing and embrace positivity.
CBSE CENTRAL ZONE TAEKWONDO FINALS: SIYAA PAINTS PRESIDIUM BRONZE

Champions like Siyaa Mishra show the world what the joy of achievement truly is. This gifted grade 5 student from Presidium Ashok Vihar bagged the prestigious bronze medal in CBSE Central Zone Taekwondo Championship held recently at Gyan Mandir Public School, Naraina Vihar, Delhi. The competition witnessed a huge participation of around 200 students from more than 50 schools, yet this young martial arts expert proved her mettle.

DIWALI WITH SUDHA MA'AM LENDS AN AURA OF SERENITY AT PRESIDIUM
Diwali celebrations are a time to connect with your dear ones and it was certainly an extraordinary moment to witness the festive Diwali celebration of our young students with their dearest Sudha Ma'am, the honourable chairperson of Presidium. They wished her a very happy Diwali with an unmatched fervour and were thrilled to get her blessings on this propitious day. Overwhelmed on receiving loads of love and respect from the young students, Sudha Ma'am showered her signature goodness and affection on them and made their Diwali even brighter.
DOORVA BAGS 2ND PLACE AT SGFI DISTRICT CHESS CHAMPIONSHIP 2017

At Presidium, we believe in raising a generation packed with such high hopes and confidence to achieve big in life and Doorva Garg is one such living example. Doorva performed wonderfully and bagged the prestigious second position in under 14 girls category of SGFI Gurgaon District Chess Championship 2017. Giving a tough competition to the 25 participants from different schools of Gurgaon, she scored 3.5 points in 5 rounds. She is selected for SGFI Haryana State Chess Championship 2017, which will be held at Yamuna Nagar soon.

PRESIDIANS PRESENT A SPECTACLE OF TALENT AT DANCE COMPETITION

Dance, being a powerful medium to express thoughts and actions, is specially catered to as an important extra-curricular engagement at Presidium. Considering that dance is an effective way to stimulate social interaction, enhance the mood, reduce anxiety and increase self-awareness and self-expression, an 'intra-class dance competition' was organized for our little Presidians. All the children came dressed-up in beautiful and artistic attires and seemed quite energetic and excited to be on the stage and perform on their favorite dance number. Exhibiting the versatile talents of the 'leaders of tomorrow', the competition was a truly mesmerizing collection of phenomenal performances.
REMINISCING THE PATH OF TRUTH & NON-VIOLENCE ON GANDHI JAYANTI
Mahatma Gandhi gave the whole world the message of peace and non violence!
Celebrated with oodles of respect and excitement, Gandhi Jayanti reveres the birth anniversary of the father of our Nation - Mahatma Gandhi. To rejoice this beautiful day of undue national importance, our young Presidians recently organized a special assembly. Dressed up as cute little Mahatma Gandhi and his wife Baa, they paid a loving tribute to him in their own special gesture. The students displayed various symbols and episodes of independence struggle commenced by Baapu like the Swadeshi Movement, Dandi March, Charkha and Khadi. Amid the song ‘Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram’, the 'leaders of tomorrow' pledges to keep up with Mahatma Gandhi's valuable preachings.
DUSSEHRA ILLUMINATES PRESIDIUM WITH THE ESSENCE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS
Dussehra is the time when seasonal festivities knock on the door and our hearts fill with bounteous happiness and excitement. To celebrate this beautiful festival, our young Presidians recently came together and organized a special assembly. Decorated with captivating adornments, the premises of Presidium were lit with the smiling faces of our leaders of tomorrow. They presented scintillating performances and depicted the famous Dussehra story on stage with wonderful acts and confidence. The celebrations concluded with endless happy memories and wholesome smiles.
PRESIDIANS UNITE FOR HARMONY ON INTERNATIONAL DAY OF PEACE
Peace is our gift to each other!
Coming forth as the envoys of harmony and tranquility, our young Presidians celebrated the International Day of Peace with unmatched excitement. Through captivating performances in a special assembly, they displayed that the 'power of love' is stronger than the 'love of power'. It was heartwarming to see the 'leaders of tomorrow' spreading the message of peace and brotherhood for everyone present.
INCULCATING A SECULAR OUTLOOK TOWARDS RELIGIOUS COMMUNITIES
In sync with the theme 'religious communities', our young Presidians were recently taken to different religious places like Gurudwara, Temple, Church and Mosque. Besides developing sensitivity towards all communities, the visit also helped the students to build connections with people belonging from different groups. Students meticulously indulged and adapted to the kaleidoscope of religious ethnicity. They witnessed the various ceremonies being conducted at these religious places and learnt about different religious practices, ceremonies and gatherings, thereby cementing a positive secular outlook in their young hearts.
