H.H. DALAI LAMA’S ADDRESS: ENLIGHTENING EXPERIENCE FOR PRESIDIANS
“Compassion can change the world.” – His Holiness, the Dalai Lama.
The Annual Address by H.H. the Dalai Lama organised by ITIHAAS on 6th February, proved to be an enriching experience for the students of Presidium. In his address to students he said that the basic human nature is compassion and every religion values kindness, love and justice. The people of the world should unite to work together.
He stressed on spreading a sense of oneness of humanity and a spirit of universal responsibility and concern for all irrespective of creed, colour, gender or nationality. Talking about his commitment to peace he said his mission is to promote a sense of unity among all human beings. The address indeed proved to be an enlightening experience for students.
ASHUTOSH’S MASTER STROKE: SELECTED IN CBSE U-19 CRICKET TEAM
Our Cricket sensation, Ashutosh Aggarwal of Grade XII, from Presidium, Ashok Vihar, has been selected in All India C.B.S.E School Cricket U-19 Boys team during the trials held at Agra. He played in the All India School Nationals held at Bombay, and his team beat the All India K. V. Sanghatan and the Tilingana teams.

PRESIDIUM’S SPECTACULAR ANNUAL CULTURAL FEST ENLIVENS SIRI FORT
Presidium’s Future Fest-2017, the most awaited annual cultural extravaganza was held at Siri Fort from 21st-22nd February. The event provided an unparalleled platform to showcase the diverse talents of our students. The two day majestic event took things to a wonderful confluence of art and creativity by our budding artists and performers.
The event was graced by the benign presence of the Hon’ble Chairperson, Mrs. Sudha Gupta. Delighted to see the fine performances, with a deep sense of delight she applauded and praised the students for their skilful and absolutely magical rendition of the quintessential artistic display.
Parents and teachers were overwhelmed and filled with joy to witness the beautiful performances and appreciated the efforts of all the students. The fest was a mesmerizing event where the magnificent talent of our students was at its best.
SHAKTI GIRLS ‘S SPLENDID PERFORMANCE AT FUTURE FEST 2017
It was a memorable sight to see the amazing Shakti girls put up an extraordinary show at the Presidium Future Fest’2017. Dressed in colourful costumes, they brilliantly danced to the fabulous tunes of Bollywood song ‘Desh Mera Rangeela’ that was a symbol of voluminous national love that they hold in their hearts. Leaving the onlookers spellbound with their unmatched elegance, grace and poise, these girls stole a big round of appreciation and proved that their hands have the proficiency to shape the world.
Presidium feels thankful to the girls of Sparsh Shakti project for a majestic gala! It was our honour to share such special moments with them on the Future Fest stage.
DAMAN DEEP KICKS HIS WAY INTO ZONAL FOOTBALL TEAM
Our football champ, Daman Deep Singh of Grade X, from Presidium, Ashok Vihar, has been selected in the Inter-Zonal Football U-17 Boys team for his outstanding performance in the Inter Zonal matches for the District (North West-B, Zone-XI). He will be representing the North Zone, West -B team in Inter zonal and will compete with other zones of Delhi.

FOLK DANCE: PRESIDIANS CELEBRATE THE CULTURAL TREASURES OF INDIA
'Folk dances reflect the roots of a nation's culture'
India is a land of varied cultures and traditions. Diversity in all spheres makes our culture unique and distinct. Indian folk and tribal dances are a doorway to the different socio-economic set up and traditions. Celebrating these rich cultural treasures, Presidium organised an Inter-Class Folk Dance Competition for primary grade students.
The students performed beautiful folk dance forms like Mayurbhanj Chhau, Garba, Bihu, Lavani, Kalbelia and many more. The mesmerizing presentation of the vibrant culture and purity of these dance forms was a true delight to watch. The preparations and efforts put in by the parents and teachers were truly praiseworthy and commendable. Such initiatives truly help connect children to our culture and roots.
PRESIDIUM’S TEENAGE AUTHOR MAKES WAVES AT WORLD BOOK FAIR-2017
Our astonishing wordsmith, Anusha Goswami; a student of Grade 11, from Presidium, Indirapuram, mesmerized avid readers with her exceptional writing and story weaving skills. ‘Silent Souls-the unspoken perspective’ is her exemplary fiction mystery novel that has seen stupendous response at the World Book Fair 2017, held at Pragati Maidan.
It was a proud privilege for Anusha that her book was launched by Mrs. Sudha Gupta, the Hon’ble Chairperson of Presidium. Published and distributed by Notion Press, Silent Souls is available for worldwide distribution on all major online portals.
Anusha started poetry at an early age and soon forayed into short stories delving into a more diversified creative writing. The book is about a paradoxical relationship between mankind and birds. It provides a refreshing perspective of both sides and brings out the agony that birds suffer at the hand of humans.

BRAINFEED SCHOOL EXCELLENCE AWARD: PRESIDIUM HONOURED IN SPORTS
Presidium brings home another honour! It has been bestowed with the Brainfeed School Excellence Award 2017 at the 4th National Conference on School Education Leadership. At the conference Presidium Dwarka 16B was awarded the in the ‘Best School in Sports Education’.
The conference acknowledged the Top schools of India in various categories on the occasion on February 4, 2017 at Hotel Le Meridien, New Delhi. Every year Brainfeed honours these schools with the objective to identify the ones that educate young minds by providing quality education and making them lead a successful life
BASANT PANCHAMI: INVOKING THE BLESSINGS OF GODDESS SARASWATI PR
The festival of Basant Panchami marks the onset of spring. It falls on the fifth day (Panchami) of the Hindu month of Magha. According to popular belief, Goddess Saraswati, the deity of knowledge, music arts and science, was born on this day and people worship her to invoke her blessings.
Presidium celebrated the festival with great liveliness. A beautiful and vibrant cultural program was organized by our talented Presidians. The middle school choir presented a soulful song, and gave a wonderful classical dance performance. The performances were exclusively dedicated to Goddess Saraswati, and it left the audience mesmerized.
With this felicitous occasion, that marks the onset of spring season, the students stepped in the vibrancy of life and new hopes.
FAREWELL CEREMONY: PRESIDIUM BIDS ADIEU TO THE OUTGOING BATCH
In a heartwarming and emotional ceremony, Presidium bade farewell to its outgoing students of Grade XII. The ceremony was graced with the benign presence of the Hon’ble Chairperson, Mrs. Sudha Gupta. She acknowledged the students and wished them all the best as they stride into the future. She motivated them to move ahead with a positive attitude in life and to convert their aspirations into inspirations.
Carrying themselves with poise in beautifully draped sarees, the girls had a ladylike elegance to their personality; while the boys dressed up in dapper formal suits looked chivalrous.
The beautiful theme of the ceremony was 'Au revoir futurs dirigeants'- goodbye until we meet again. Nostalgia filled in the venue as the students took a trip down the memory lane. Grade 11 students came forward to bid goodbye to their seniors and wished them good luck for their future.
Overwhelmed with emotions and with a surge of mixed feelings they took a pledge to carry the Presidian spirit with them and vowed to be responsible and contributing citizens of the country. The farewell ceremony was a perfect amalgamation of smiles, tears, treasured moments and memories.
