Fused with enthusiasm and pride, a team of 30 delegates from Presidium Group of Schools participated at the recently held World Education Summit (WES) 2012, the world's premier platform on 'Education Thought Leadership'. Mrs Sudha Gupta, Chairperson of Mother’s Pride and Presidium and renowned Parenting expert was invited as speaker at the prestigious event. Here, Presidium was conferred with the jury’s choice award as ‘Best Training Provider’ for ‘Bachelors in Transformation of Secondary Education (BTSE)’ at the second edition of World Education Summit on 23rd July, 2012. BTSE is the teacher’s training course with the objective to equip aspirant teachers with commitment, knowledge and skills to effectively achieve the construction of the articulated objectives as they interact with students in the classroom. The award was presented at the glittering ceremony held at Hotel Le Meridien, as a part of the two-day World Education Summit 2012 being attended by leading education leaders and policy-makers from across the globe. Presidium participated as track partners in the event and gave our contribution in the form of discussion and deliberations on a wide range of pertinent issues related to Education. The World Education Awards have been instituted with the aim of felicitating and acknowledging unique and innovative initiatives in the field of education globally. The key note address was given by the Chief Guest - Shri E Ahamed, Minister of State for Human Resource Development, Government of India. The event witnessed the largest gathering of education leaders from across the globe. The platform became grand with the presence of eminent personalities in the summit such as Dr Ravi Gupta, Convener, World Education Summit 2012, Dr MP Narayanan, President, Centre for Science, Development and Media Studies (CSDMS); Prof SS Mantha, Chairman, All India Council for Technical Education (AITE); Prof VS Ramamurthy, Former Secretary, Department of Science and Technology, Government of India; Shigeru Aoyagi , Director and UNESCO representative to India, Bhutan , Maldives and Sri Lanka; Dr Pascal Chazot , Elected Member of Parliament in France was also present amongst others. All in all, Presidium glorified at the event winning one of the most reputed awards in the country aiming to become a global leader in the education domain.
