ITIHAAS PROGRAMME FOR STRENGTHENING PRESIDIUM LIBERAL ARTS CURRICULUM

ITIHAAS comprises of a small group of passionate and hardworking educators who are involved in path-defining work in the field of Heritage and Education since the last 10 years. Each ITIHAAS learning module ensures that there is not only generation of knowledge but also plenty of contexts for Critical Thinking for the students in terms of preserving our heritage. Since last year, ITIHAAS has come up with various initiatives to strengthen the Presidium Liberal Arts Curriculum. Fields like Music, Theatre, Heritage, Literature, Science, Maths etc are getting integrated in the learning experience of both teachers and students. The Presidium students and teachers of Grades VI-VIII explored Sufism, Water Management, Cities and Administration, Revolt of 1857 etc, and understood how these connect and impact our lives today. Initiatives like introducing a rich menu of Foreign Languages (French, Spanish and German) from Grade IV onwards, Meal Planning, Youth Parliament, Theatre in Education, International school award, Model United Nations Programme have also come up. ITIHAAS makes learning fun and a conscious attempt is made to break social barriers. Hence, the ITIHAAS initiative is Education for the Living in the Truest Sense.
