LET'S STAND UP, SPEAK OUT & ACT TO PREVENT VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN
The most important characteristic of creating leaders of tomorrow is educating young Presidians about the social issues that are prevalent in the world today. One such social evil is violence against women, and to create awareness among young Presidians, the International Day of Elimination against Women was recently observed. Students presented facts about the kinds of violence that women face in today’s time. Through wonderful speeches and spell binding skit, students spread the message of ending such violence in order to create a better and prosperous future.
PRESIDIANS SEEK THE BLESSINGS OF 'SATGURU NANAK' ON 'GURPURAB'
With an aim to spread the teachings of the first guru of Sikhs, Guru Nanak Ji, students of Presidium celebrated the auspicious occasion of Gurpurab by conducting a special assembly. Students sang ‘shabad’ and chanted the ‘ek onkar’ mantra followed by an energetic ‘bhangra’ performance. Students spoke about Guru Nanak’s teachings and highlighting that the essence of all religion lies in oneness of God. They also discussed about the significance of ‘sangat’ that is coming together of devotees, recitation of hymns and listening to discourse and ‘pangat’ which means to share and enjoy food together. Towards the end of the assembly, students took a pledge to imbibe the teachings of the First Sikh Guru.
PRESIDIANS CELEBRATE EID-E-MILAD WITH GRANDEUR
“Strive always to excel in virtue and truth” - Prophet Muhammad.
Eid-e-Milad is the celebration of birth of the last messenger of Allah, Prophet Muhammad. To celebrate this festival, the students of Presidium organised a special assembly. With their speeches, students recited the teachings of the Prophet and encouraged all to embrace kindness, compassion, mercy, gratitude, thankfulness & courage. The celebratory fervor was elevated with a graceful dance performance on songs like ‘Eid Mubarak’. Through a wonderful skit, Presidians depicted how Eid is celebrated around the world. Towards the end of the assembly, students wished everyone ‘Eid Mubarak’ in the traditional way.
PRESIDIANS LEARN POSITIVE VALUES OF KINDNESS & GOODWILL
‘Kindness is the language a deaf can hear and a blind can see.’ Presidium believes in its mantra of creating global citizens with the heart of gold. Keeping this in mind, Presidium celebrated World Kindness Day, a day celebrated to honour good deeds and creating awareness among people to help all those they can. In a special assembly, Presidians were encouraged to do acts of kindness like helping a friend and express gratitude to all those who help them. Thought provoking speeches were made by students enabling each one to recognize how showing kindness to each other can support wellbeing, enabling our world to be a happier place to live on.
PRESIDIANS EXPRESS THEIR LOVE WITH A KIND DONATION TO SPARSH
The sole meaning of life is to serve humanity. We, at Presidium, believe in contributing to the society and bringing a positive change in the outlook of the fellow humans. Taking forward this initiative and setting a positive example, Presidians contributed generously to the Sparsh Special School on the occasion of Children’s Day. Such contribution will help students with special needs to become independent and self sufficient. It was a great experience for the Presidians as they discovered the joy of giving.
PRESIDIANS CELEBRATE THE SPIRIT OF CHILDHOOD
With an aim to celebrate God’s most beautiful creation, Presidium organised a special assembly on Children’s Day. It was a special day as the teachers presented a beautiful assembly and making Children’s Day a memorable one for their students. Teachers presented poems about children being the building blocks of a great nation. They also presented an energetic dance performance creating an atmosphere of euphoria and happiness. Towards the end of the assembly, teachers wished Presidians all the best for their future endeavours.
A MEMORABLE CHILDREN’S DAY CELEBRATION WITH SUDHA MA’AM
Honourable Chairperson, Mrs. Sudha Gupta celebrated Children’s Day with her dear students at Presidium. Ma’am extended her warmest greetings to her dear children and teachers. Mrs. Gupta talked about how our children have the immense potential of changing and shaping our tomorrow. Ma’am also appreciated teachers for being mentors and making them global citizens and leaders of tomorrow. Ma’am encouraged everyone to celebrate childhood, celebrate teaching and holistically celebrate life!
NATIONAL EDUCATION DAY: BRINGING REVOLUTION IN THE SOCIETY
PRESIDIANS SPREAD THE MESSAGE OF CELEBRATING ECO-FRIENDLY DIWALI
A special assembly was recently organised at Presidium to celebrate the festival of Diwali. Students created beautiful rangolis and decorated the premises with diyas and flowers. A special prayer was offered to Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Ram at the start of the assembly. The prayer was followed by a wonderful skit conveying the message of celebrating an eco-friendly Diwali. Students also sensitized their friends about the hazards of burning crackers on the environment. The assembly aimed at fostering the young hearts for illuminating the world with goodness and fighting off the darkness with inner strength.
