PRESIDIANS TURN MPs FOR A DAY
Presidium Indirapuram organized a Youth Parliament on Friday, 04 September 2015. The objective was to develop an insight into the parliamentary procedures, to train students in group discussion and to make them aware of public issues and form opinions. Presidians of Grades VII and VIII participated in the session with great zeal and enthusiasm. They were well prepared and seemed extremely confident about their roles as parliamentarians. The two-hour session comprised of oath taking, Question Hour, Introduction and Passing of The Bill, etc. which are all essential to a parliamentary session. The students shared their learning and experience of being a part of such an illuminating endeavor. The session proved to be an enjoyable and enriching experience for the students as it imparted some real citizenship education to them.
OUT OF THE BOX WINS INDIAS PRESTIGIOUS KYOORIUS DESIGN AWARD
A yet another proud moment for every one of us at the Marvel Group! Out of the Box has received 1 Big Elephant Award and 3 Junior Blue Elephant Awards at Kyoorius Design Awards 2015 for Mother's Pride and the Marvel Group. The award ceremony was held in association with D&AD, the world's most reputed and renowned award show.
PRESIDIAN WINS NORTH INDIA ROLLER SKATING CHAMPIONSHIP
Our young skating talent from Presidium Ashok Vihar made us proud at the North India Roller Skating Championship. Our champ Armaan Khanna of Grade III won the first position in the championship under the age group of 6-8 yrs. The championship was organised by the Indian Association of Ice and Roller Skating at the SPM swimming complex.
PRESIDIANS TURN MPs FOR A DAY
Presidium Dwarka 22 witnessed its students participating in the first Youth Parliament Session on 1st September 2015. Presidians from Grade 7th and 8th participated in the Monsoon Session, which was a very formal session right from the beginning to the end. Presidians showcased immense confidence while participating in the procedures of the Parliament like the Oath and the Question Hour. The Opposition and the Ruling Party were very well prepared for the questions and responses/debate.
Real-time issues were taken up in the house and few of the policies that were discussed included Pradhaanmantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, Pradhaanmantri Jeewan Jyoti Yojana etc. They also discussed the achievements of former President Dr. Abdul Kalam and passed a resolution in the house on his unfulfilled desire to pay homage to him. It was a great sight to see the stupendous performance of our students and their Social Science Teacher, Ms. Tarpinder's hard work.
PRESIDIANS SHINE AT THE ZONAL SLOGAN AND ESSAY WRITING COMPETITION
Presidians add another feather to their caps!
Our little masters of literature Pratham Aggarwal and Kanishk Gupta created a stir at the Zonals once again. Young Presidian Pratham Agarwal of Grade 7 from Presidium Ashok Vihar won the 1st position in the Slogan Writing (Hindi) in a Zonal competition on 30 July, 2015. The competition wherein more than 20 schools participated was organized by the Department of Education.
Our young Presidian Kanishk Gupta of Grade 9 from Presidium Ashok Vihar bagged the 1st position in the Hindi Essay Writing competition. 23 schools participated in this event which was organized by the Dept of Education on 30 July, 2015.

PRESIDIANS CELEBRATE RAKSHABANDHAN WITH DIGNITARIES
Our leaders of tomorrow from Presidium met the leaders of today to celebrate the festival of Rakshabandhan with them. On 29th August Presidians got the opportunity to meet our honorable President Sri. Pranab Mukherjee. They also met the Home Minister Shri. Raj Nath Singh Ji and Sri. L K Advani ji to celebrate the festival with them and sought their blessings on the auspicious occasion. The interaction which they had with the leaders was a great experience for them.
PRESIDIUM CHAMP ARCHIT TUSHIR GETS INTO INDIA BOOK OF RECORDS
Our little sports star Archit Tushir of Grade III, Presidium Ashok Vihar made us proud by getting his name in India Book of Records. He, along with his teammates, completed 42 km relay race in 2 hours 45 minutes in 1st Relay Skating Marathon Championship, which was held in Sonipat. Archit’s and his teammates’ hard work and dedication have enabled them to achieve this feat. Congratulations for your accomplishment. Well done!
PRESIDIUM BAGS FIRST POSITION IN ZONAL TABLE TENNIS CHAMPIONSHIP
Our champs from Presidium Dwarka 16B made us proud at the Zonal Table Tennis Championship! Young Presidians Srishti Singh of Garde IV, Khushneet Kaur Lamba of Grade VII and Kasish Garg of Grade VIII bagged the first position at Championship held on 27th August 2015. Around 54 students from 18 schools participated in the competition. Our champs gave an extraordinary performance in the tournament by not losing even a single match. The audience and the judges gave special praises to Srishti Singh as she was the youngest amongst all the participants, who defeated the players of senior Grades flawlessly. We appreciate the efforts of their passionate and dedicated coach, Mr. Shagun Sadh, who worked hard with the girls and trained them marvelously.
INTER SCHOOL PRESIDIUM YOUTH PARLIAMENT HELD AT PRESIDIUM GURGAON
The Senior Branch of Presidium, Gurgaon, proudly hosted the Youth Parliament Session on 26th August 2015. Various renowned schools of Gurgaon participated in this event and exhibited innovative ventures, thinking prowess and leadership qualities. The Chief Guest of the occasion, Mr. Vansh Saluja of the Aam Aadmi Party and Mr. Shayer Mazumdar did the honours of adjudging the event.
The Youth Parliament is a support organization of young people which was established in July 2002 by social entrepreneur, Ishita Chaudhry. In sync with this spirit, the proceedings of the Youth Parliament took place in a systematic and organized manner extending a base to conceptualize and execute the initiatives of our students in various fields like socio-cultural, economical, legal and environmental issues.
The Chief Guest was delighted to witness the event and highly appreciated the manner in which the students conducted themselves as young parliamentarians and ‘the leaders of tomorrow’-which is the methodology that our school works on. This event was a sound platform which enables young people to be effective and expressive agents of change. It encourages our students to be true citizens of a democratic country like India-at the same time it increases their awareness of issues of national importance and global concerns. The awards to the winners were given away by the Chairperson of Presidium Mrs. Sudha Gupta. Mrs. Alka Singh the Vice Principal of the school thanked the chief guest and the participating schools.

PRESIDIUM DWARKA 22 WINS THE PRESTIGIOUS BRITISH COUNCIL INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL AWARD

In yet another proud moment for Presidium! Our Dwarka 22 branch is the 5th Presidium Branch to secure the British Council International School Award (ISA) for the period 2015-18. Presidium Ashok Vihar, Indirapuram, Gurgaon Senior and Dwarka 16B have already been accredited by the British Council-ISA for instilling a global dimension into curriculum.
The ISA is a benchmarking scheme that accredits schools as having an outstanding level of support for nurturing global citizenship in young people as well as enriching teaching and learning. The award is managed by the British Council, which is the United Kingdom's international organization for educational opportunities and cultural relations. It creates international opportunities for people all over the world and builds trust between them worldwide.
This award marks a positive impact on bringing up students with the awareness of cultures of other nations, while encouraging the understanding of their very own culture. It provides a framework for schools to develop an action plan and implement international activities throughout the year, and encourages schools to collaborate with overseas schools to create a rich learning experience for students through use of ICT, creative pedagogical practices and real context for learning.
