Presidium saluted the leaders of tomorrow in a special ceremony by felicitating the scholars for the session 2015-16, from 5th October to 2nd November at Presidium, to honour them for Academic Excellence. The purpose of the event which was held accross all the branches of Presidium, was to acknowledge students for their outstanding performance in Board Exams for this session. The event was headed by our honourable Chairperson Mrs. Sudha Gupta. In this exclusive event the Chairperson honoured each student for his/her achievement. Students were awarded for their excellent performance in academics, sports and extracurricular activities.
Mrs. Sudha Gupta, Chairperson of Presidium and Mother’s Pride, was invited as Chief Guest to grace the All India 36th School Leadership Workshop on 5th October. The Theme of the workshop was "Preparing Leaders for Future” which was lead by Prof. Handoo. The Chairperson addressed the gathering of around 80 Principals, Directors and CEOs from not only schools of India but also from Middle East. The elite gathering was so impressed with her views on importance of staff welfare, life skills & positive parenting, that Prof. Handoo requested her to conduct a session for them in next workshop.
On the occasion of the birth anniversary of the father of our Nation; Mahatma Gandhi, Presidians came together to celebrate Gandhi Jayanti. Mahatma Gandhi gave the whole world the message of peace and non violence. In keeping with the Mahatma's philosophy Presidians paid a tribute to him. Dressed up as Mahatma Gandhi and his wife Baa, they displayed the significance of Charkha which is also a symbol of the Swadeshi Movement during the Indian Independence struggle. Taking the celebrations into full swing Presidians also danced and performed on patriotic theme. It was a beautiful sight to see them celebrate this day with great zest and enthusiasm.
Cleanliness Drive Activity was organised at Presidium Dwarka 22 by the nursery and prep students. The objective behind the activity was to inculcate cleanliness-related habits among students. The drive was conducted during club periods, wherein students belonging to different clubs were sent to their allotted club rooms, and were asked to discuss things related to 'How to keep surrounding clean'. Apart from this, students were also asked to share their ideas and thoughts on 'Cleanliness'. Overall, the entire activity was executed with a lot of fun, and it turned out to be a great learning experience for students.
Presidium Dwarka 16B is proud of its swimming champs Dhruv Bajaj of Grade VI A, Bhavya Bajaj and Bhavit Bajaj from Grade I E, who bagged 7 Gold and 5 Bronze medals in the Delhi State Swimming Championship 2015. The championship was organized by Delhi Swimming Association in Talkatora Stadium held from 29th September 2015 to 4th October 2015. There were around 400 students from 50 different schools that participated in the Championship. Well done champs!
Tanvi, a young Presidian of Grade II-A, Vivek Vihar Branch has once again made us proud by stealing the limelight in the advertisement of CENTRAL BOARD OF EXCISE & CUSTOM DEPARTMENT OF INDIA, published in THE TIMES OF INDIA, dated 20.09.15. Apart from this, she has recently completed her shoot for the kids serial ‘GALI-GALI SIM SIM’, which will be soon telecasted on POGO CHANNEL. Way to go, Tanvi. We are proud of you!
Our Table Tennis champions of Presidium Dwarka 16, Srihsti Singh of IV-B, Khushneet Kaur Lamba of VII-D, and Kashish Garg of VIII have bagged the first position in the Table Tennis Zonal Championship, organised by the Department of Education on 14 September. Congratulations!
The students of Presidium Indirapuram of Grade XI & XII were given the opportunity to attend a special function on 4 September 2015, organised at Maulana Azad Medical College, Delhi. The function was celebrated on the occasion of Daughter’s Day, wherein the students were made aware about issues concerning with the female population, and the ways to tackle them. Apart from this, the event also aimed at celebrating the spirit of daughters. Various issues such as misogynistic crimes, female infanticide and feticide, health care issues, poverty, lack of education, and several other topics related to women were addressed at the function. The ceremony was indeed a very enriching and enlightening experience for the students.
