The much-awaited Chairperson Honours for the session 2015 were held on 20th October with great cheer and delight. The outstanding achievements of talented Presidians were honoured at this prestigious platform. Young achievers of Presidium from Pitampura, Kalyan Vihar and Punjabi Bagh branches were felicitated and encouraged by the honourable Chairperson of Presidium Mrs. Sudha Gupta. The privileged few had a one-on-one interaction with the Chairperson. She guided and applauded them for their extraordinary achievements in various fields of academics, sports and extracurricular activities. Each young achiever received a certificate of acknowledgement from the honourable Chairperson.
The swimming champion of Presidium Dwarka 16B, Dhruv Bajaj, of Grade VI A won the Silver Medal in the CBSE North Zone Swimming Championship in 100 mtr. The Free Style Category was held on 13 October at Guru Harkrishan Public School, Vasant Vihar. The competition was extremely tough with almost 700 students participating from various states like Chandigarh, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and Jammu Kashmir from the North of our country. Our champ gave a challenging competition to the participants and once again made it to the top. Way to go Dhruv! You are the champ!
Our young aspiring actors made us proud by securing the 3rd position in Zonal Mono Acting competition, which was held on 7 September 2015. A total of ten schools participated in the competition, wherein Tarana Datta of Presidium Dwarka 16B bagged the 3rdposition. This talented girl of Grade VI C played a dual role of an Indian village girl and a foreigner. Tarana Datta was dressed impeccably, and her remarkable performance could not stop the audience from applauding her acting skills. Way to go Tarana!
Hasya Kavi Utsav was organised at Presidium, Dwarka 22 for the students on the occasion of Hindi Divas. The programme was organised for students of Grade I to III on 12 September 2015. The main idea behind this event was to promote the significance of Hindi among students, and make them understand the importance of the language. During the event, students were asked to recite Hindi poetries composed by them. Further, based on their level of confidence and recitation skills, some students were also selected to present their poetry skills on the stage. All the students and teachers seemed excited for the event and participated with full enthusiasm. With their imaginative and comic skills, students managed to keep the audience entertained, right till the end.
Presidium Ashok Vihar welcomed the Honourable Director of Alma College, Dr. Derick Hulme along with students of Alma College, on 12th October. It is a great pleasure to have them with us. Here’s looking forward to having a successful PMUN conference.
The talented Table Tennis players of Dwarka 16B, Vishab Garg (Grade VI), Iknoor Gandhi (Grade III), Kanak Chugh (Grade V) and Samreen Kaur (Grade IV) participated in the Paddle Power Table Tennis Tournament on 11th October, where each of them bagged the Second position in their respective categories. The tournament was organized together by Leh Sports and Ifosys. Around 250 students from various schools participated in this tournament which was held at Thyagraj stadium. Besides the dedicated and hard working students, the credit also goes to their committed and promising coach Mr. Shagun who works passionately with his students. Cheers to the Big League Academy!!!
Young champs from Dwarka 16B have qualified for National Level Yoga Competition at the 'Delhi State Open Yoga Championship 2015', held on 10th & 11th October 2015 at Maharaja Agersen Auditorium, Rohini wherein 2000 students from about 80 schools participated. Three of our Presidians Arav Singh of Grade I, Tanishq Sharma of Grade V and Karan of Grade I have qualified for the National level yoga championship. The students are lucky to get guidance from their able teacher Mr. Sanjoy who also participated in the same Competition under the age category 25 to 30 years and bagged a Gold Medal. He too has qualified for Nationals. Here’s wishing good luck and success to the winners for the next level.
Presidian Sia Satia of Grade V has bagged the 1st position in under 14 Girls category of Table Tennis tournament and Uday Singh of Grade VIII bagged Runners Up Trophy in doubles under 14 boys category. Talented Presidians of Dwarka 22 participated in the tournament on 11 October, which was organized by Leh Sports and IFOSYS. Around 250 students from various schools participated in this tournament which was held at Thyagraj stadium.
Presidians from Dwarka 22 have won laurels by qualifying for the National level Yoga competition in 'Delhi State Yoga Championship 2015', held on 10th & 11th October at Maharaja Agersen Auditorium, Rohini. The championship was affiliated by - Indian Yoga Federation. Our champs Pari Bangla of Grade II won Silver Medal, Dev Vats of Grade VI won Silver Medal, Mishika of Grade Prep bagged fifth Position. Out of more than 2000 students of about 80 schools who had participated in the competition, Pari & Dev have qualified for the National Level Yoga championship. Way to go champs, we are proud of you.
Our Table Tennis champ of Presidium Dwarka 16 B, Khushneet of Grade VII makes us proud by bagging the third position in the Third Delhi State Ranking Table Tennis Tournament. The tournament was held on 7th October at Adarshila Vidyapeeth School, Pitampura. The event was organised by Delhi State Table Tennis Association in which 600 students of about 50 elite schools of Delhi had participated.
