Young champs from Dwarka 16B have qualified for National Level Yoga Competition at the 'Delhi State Open Yoga Championship 2015', held on 10th & 11th October 2015 at Maharaja Agersen Auditorium, Rohini wherein 2000 students from about 80 schools participated. Three of our Presidians Arav Singh of Grade I, Tanishq Sharma of Grade V and Karan of Grade I have qualified for the National level yoga championship. The students are lucky to get guidance from their able teacher Mr. Sanjoy who also participated in the same Competition under the age category 25 to 30 years and bagged a Gold Medal. He too has qualified for Nationals. Here’s wishing good luck and success to the winners for the next level.
Presidian Sia Satia of Grade V has bagged the 1st position in under 14 Girls category of Table Tennis tournament and Uday Singh of Grade VIII bagged Runners Up Trophy in doubles under 14 boys category. Talented Presidians of Dwarka 22 participated in the tournament on 11 October, which was organized by Leh Sports and IFOSYS. Around 250 students from various schools participated in this tournament which was held at Thyagraj stadium.
Presidians from Dwarka 22 have won laurels by qualifying for the National level Yoga competition in 'Delhi State Yoga Championship 2015', held on 10th & 11th October at Maharaja Agersen Auditorium, Rohini. The championship was affiliated by - Indian Yoga Federation. Our champs Pari Bangla of Grade II won Silver Medal, Dev Vats of Grade VI won Silver Medal, Mishika of Grade Prep bagged fifth Position. Out of more than 2000 students of about 80 schools who had participated in the competition, Pari & Dev have qualified for the National Level Yoga championship. Way to go champs, we are proud of you.
Our Table Tennis champ of Presidium Dwarka 16 B, Khushneet of Grade VII makes us proud by bagging the third position in the Third Delhi State Ranking Table Tennis Tournament. The tournament was held on 7th October at Adarshila Vidyapeeth School, Pitampura. The event was organised by Delhi State Table Tennis Association in which 600 students of about 50 elite schools of Delhi had participated.
Presidium Dwarka 16B wins laurels in the Table Tennis and Yoga Championship held on 6th and 7th October 2015 in Girls’ Scholympics Inter School Sports Challenge 2015. The competition was organized by Bharat Sports Management Group and was held at Purv Delhi Khel Parishar, Dilshad Garden. The Table Tennis Champions bagged 3 Gold, 3 Silver and 1 Bronze Medal and the Presidians who participated in the Yoga Competition bagged 2 Gold, 3 Silver and 2 Bronze medals along with the Championship Trophy. Around 150 students from 30 different schools participated in the competition.
Our young Presidian, Aachita Kaira has made us proud again! Aachita of Grade VI from Presidium Indirapuram has been declared 'Best Painter of the Year 2015' amongst Top 15 in a National Level Painting Competition - Japan on Canvas 2015 organized by Experience Japan on 6th October. Best 30 Painters in two categories, all over India will be awarded. Aachita Kaira's work was on the theme 'Spirit of Japan’. Way to go Aachita!
Presidium saluted the leaders of tomorrow in a special ceremony by felicitating the scholars for the session 2015-16, from 5th October to 2nd November at Presidium, to honour them for Academic Excellence. The purpose of the event which was held accross all the branches of Presidium, was to acknowledge students for their outstanding performance in Board Exams for this session. The event was headed by our honourable Chairperson Mrs. Sudha Gupta. In this exclusive event the Chairperson honoured each student for his/her achievement. Students were awarded for their excellent performance in academics, sports and extracurricular activities.
Mrs. Sudha Gupta, Chairperson of Presidium and Mother’s Pride, was invited as Chief Guest to grace the All India 36th School Leadership Workshop on 5th October. The Theme of the workshop was "Preparing Leaders for Future” which was lead by Prof. Handoo. The Chairperson addressed the gathering of around 80 Principals, Directors and CEOs from not only schools of India but also from Middle East. The elite gathering was so impressed with her views on importance of staff welfare, life skills & positive parenting, that Prof. Handoo requested her to conduct a session for them in next workshop.
On the occasion of the birth anniversary of the father of our Nation; Mahatma Gandhi, Presidians came together to celebrate Gandhi Jayanti. Mahatma Gandhi gave the whole world the message of peace and non violence. In keeping with the Mahatma's philosophy Presidians paid a tribute to him. Dressed up as Mahatma Gandhi and his wife Baa, they displayed the significance of Charkha which is also a symbol of the Swadeshi Movement during the Indian Independence struggle. Taking the celebrations into full swing Presidians also danced and performed on patriotic theme. It was a beautiful sight to see them celebrate this day with great zest and enthusiasm.
