Our Presidians made all of us proud by winning various positions at Republic Sports Gala competition organized by Poorvi Delhi Khel Parishad (North Delhi Zone) on 27th January 2016. The event was held at DDA Sports Complex, Dilshad Garden, where more than 80 students from 15 different schools participated under various age groups. Our students of Dwarka 22 gave a commendable performance and bagged overall 3rd position in the competition. The winners of the competition were: Sahil Godhara- 1st Position under-10 boys, Prasuk Jain-2nd position under-12 boys, Sia Sethi-1st position under-15 girls, Neetu Ahlawat-2nd position under-15 girls.
On the eve of the 67th Republic Day of India, Presidians came together to celebrate this day with pride. The ceremony was attended by the hon’ble Chairperson of Presidium, Mrs. Sudha Gupta. The Chairperson commenced the flag hosting ceremony where Presidians joined her and participated in singing the national anthem. Gathering around the national flag they saluted a great nation where there is unity in diversity. The largest democracy in the world, India is unique in its culture, heritage, language and history. Presidians saluted the spirit of one nation, one vision, one identity and one incredible India. The Chairperson called on the students to pledge that they will stand united and that as responsible citizens of India they will follow the laws and respect the rights enshrined in the Constitution. With the freedom to be what they want to be, they will lead the country to new heights and goals of success.
Our talented Presidians, Geet Ahlawat of Grade 7th, Vibhav Vishal of Grade 8th, Mayank Gulati of Grade 6th and Tanveer Singh of Grade 5thfrom Presidium, Dwarka 16B, won 1st position at the Sankalp Sahodaya Chess Competition. The competition was held on Saturday, 23rd January 2016. The competition was organized by Ved Vyas DAV School, Vikas Puri and was witnessed by 65 students from 16 different schools. Kudos to the winners and their coach Mr. Chandan Singh!
Our champs from Presidium, Indirapuram, participated in All India Invitational Roller Skating Championship 2016 held at Talkatora Stadium on 22nd and 23rd January. Presidians bagged 2 Silver and 2 Bronze Medals in the competition. Presidian Ayonija Singh of Grade 2nd got bronze medal in 6-8 yrs age category in inline. Om Anand Pathak of Grade 5th won Silver Medal in 10 -12 yrs age category in artistic. Aneesha Choudhary of Grade 5th won Silver Medal in 10-12 yrs age category in artistic and Krish Goel of Grade 5th won Bronze Medal in 10 - 12 yrs age category in artistic. Kudos to our skating champs and their coach!
Our skating sensations, Aryav and Yash of Presidium, Dwarka 22, grabbed Bronze at the 1st All India Invitational Roller Skating Championship 2016. Our champion skater Aryav Vashisht from Grade 3rd won a Bronze Medal and Presidian Yash Sehrawat of Grade 6thalso won a Bronze Medal at the event which was held at Talkatora stadium on 22 January. The championship was organized by the Amateur Roller Skating Federation of India.
With our 12th batch students completing their session successfully, Presidium took this opportunity to organize a farewell ceremony for them on 18th and 19th January. The teachers came together in a warm gesture to say goodbye to Presidians and wished them good luck for the future. The ceremony was attended by our Hon’ble Chairperson, Mrs. Sudha Gupta. She acknowledged students for their hard work and appreciated them for their efforts throughout the year. Wishing them luck for their future endeavours she motivated them to dream big and put in their 100 percent in realizing them.
Our talented young Prayank Patnaik of Grade 7th from Presidium, Indirapuram, was awarded by Mr. Nitin Gadkari, Hon'ble Minister of Road Transport and Highways for acting in a short film based on the theme 'Over Speeding'. The event was organised by CBSE and Ministry of Road Transport and Highways on 'Road Safety India - National Film Making contest'. The film will be telecasted on all the TV channels, movie theaters and public places as an awareness campaign on Road Safety.
