BASANT PANCHAMI: INVOKING THE BLESSINGS OF GODDESS SARASWATI PR
The festival of Basant Panchami marks the onset of spring. It falls on the fifth day (Panchami) of the Hindu month of Magha. According to popular belief, Goddess Saraswati, the deity of knowledge, music arts and science, was born on this day and people worship her to invoke her blessings.
Presidium celebrated the festival with great liveliness. A beautiful and vibrant cultural program was organized by our talented Presidians. The middle school choir presented a soulful song, and gave a wonderful classical dance performance. The performances were exclusively dedicated to Goddess Saraswati, and it left the audience mesmerized.
With this felicitous occasion, that marks the onset of spring season, the students stepped in the vibrancy of life and new hopes.
FAREWELL CEREMONY: PRESIDIUM BIDS ADIEU TO THE OUTGOING BATCH
In a heartwarming and emotional ceremony, Presidium bade farewell to its outgoing students of Grade XII. The ceremony was graced with the benign presence of the Hon’ble Chairperson, Mrs. Sudha Gupta. She acknowledged the students and wished them all the best as they stride into the future. She motivated them to move ahead with a positive attitude in life and to convert their aspirations into inspirations.
Carrying themselves with poise in beautifully draped sarees, the girls had a ladylike elegance to their personality; while the boys dressed up in dapper formal suits looked chivalrous.
The beautiful theme of the ceremony was 'Au revoir futurs dirigeants'- goodbye until we meet again. Nostalgia filled in the venue as the students took a trip down the memory lane. Grade 11 students came forward to bid goodbye to their seniors and wished them good luck for their future.
Overwhelmed with emotions and with a surge of mixed feelings they took a pledge to carry the Presidian spirit with them and vowed to be responsible and contributing citizens of the country. The farewell ceremony was a perfect amalgamation of smiles, tears, treasured moments and memories.
ALL INDIA TENNIS TOURNAMENT-HARDIK BAGS GOLD AND SILVER
Our Lawn Tennis champ, Hardik Detwani of Grade VIII, from Presidium Ashok Vihar, has made us proud by bagging a Gold and Silver trophy at the All India Tennis Association-Boys and Girls Under-12 & 14 years tournament, organized by the Ryder Sports Academy. At the event, Hardik performed his very best, challenging his opponents with every shot and bagged Gold in the Doubles and Silver Trophy in the Singles tournament.

REPUBLIC DAY: PRESIDIANS CELEBRATE THE SPIRIT OF INCREDIBLE INDIA
On the eve of the 68th Republic Day of India, a special ceremony was held at Presidium. Presidians came together on this day to celebrate the occasion in all its solemnity and grandeur.
With her precious words, the honourable chairperson of the school, Mrs. Sudha Gupta, ignited the emotion of patriotism in the hearts of all. The students saluted the national flag and pledged to uphold the honour and integrity, diversity and uniqueness that is-INDIA. The pride and respect for their nation they have in their hearts was well evident on their proud faces.
PRESIDIUM HONOURED AS ONE OF THE TOP SCHOOLS OF INDIA
New Year 2017 has started with a proud acknowledgement for Presidium. The digitalLEARNING-Top Schools of India Ranking Survey, 2016, has selected Presidium as ‘India's Top School’ at the 4th School Leadership Summit 2016.
Ms. Smriti Nanda and Ms. Manvinder Kaur, Vice Principals from Presidium Indirapuram and Ms. Amita Bhatia and Ms. Ragni Mansukhani, Vice Principals from Presidium Ashok Vihar; proudly accepted the award on behalf of their respective institutions.
The award is yet another distinction to the numerous prestigious national and international awards won by Presidium. We express our heartfelt gratitude to all the parents, partners, and staff members, for their unending love and support.
CBSE CHESS NATIONALS-PRESIDIUM’S MAESTROS CLAIM VICTORY
The master Chess players of Presidium Indirapuram, have established themselves as great players indeed at the CBSE National Chess Championship, held at Varanasi from 15th to 21st December.
Presidians participated in different age categories at the championship. From the girls’ team Shanya Mishra won two Gold medals in the U14 Girls-Individual and also in the U14 Girls-Team category. In the boys team Satvik Sharma, Aryan Sharma, Pranav Aggarwal and Manikya Negi bagged the 3rd runners up position.

INTER PRESIDIUM CRICKET TOURNAMENT-CELEBRATING YOUNG TALENT
With an aim to identify and recognise the promising Cricket talent of Presidium, an Inter Presidium Cricket Tournament-Primary Boys: 2016-17 was organised on 20th January. The tournament witnessed 4 days of cricketing action from 17th-20th January.
The occasion was graced by the Guest of honour, Mrs Sudha Gupta, the Hon’ble Chairperson and renowned cricketer Mr. Unmukt Chand, who acknowledged the school and the coaches for giving an opportunity and polishing the unmatched talents of the budding master blasters.
The exciting final match was between Presidium Ashok Vihar and Gurgaon, wherein the players from both the teams put in their best efforts in the game and Ashok Vihar lifted the winner’s trophy.
Providing the right kind of platform to these young cricketers will go a long way in identifying and promoting their talent.
NATIONAL SCHOOL GAMES-GYMNASTICS: NITYA EMERGES VICTORIOUS
Our gymnastic pro, Nitya Jain of Class VII, from Presidium Indirapuram, has secured 3rd position at the 62nd National School Games-Gymnastics Championship held at Sonipat from 6th to 10th January. Nitya won in Ball event under 14 categories and became the judges’ favourite contestant from among more than 1200 students who had come from 27 different states.

PRESIDIANS SOAK IN THE GOODNESS OF LOHRI FESTIVITIES
Lohri is a bountiful festival that marks the harvesting of new crop. Presidians celebrated the festival with great excitement. Dressed in vibrant traditional Punjabi attire they sang and danced to folk songs. The lively and positive aura of the festivities brought a cheerful lush to the school premises and was enjoyed to the fullest.
