INTERNATIONAL DEMOCRACY DAY :AN ODE TO WORLD’S LARGEST DEMOCRACY
After being ruled by various kings and colonized by the British for centuries, India finally became a democratic nation post its Independence. In no time, India has become the largest democracy in the world bestowing every citizen with a right to vote and have a say in the smooth functioning of the nation. International Day of Democracy calls for a big celebration and our students excitedly hailed the nation of the people, for the people and by the people. The paramount aim behind the special assembly was to educate the young leaders about their role in taking this democratic legacy forward by always abiding by the constitution. Presidians also proudly presented their thoughts on the importance of democracy in India and all over the world.
